Deserving of Joy: Comprehensive Primary Care Pricing
$150/month per individual, with a one-time $75 enrollment fee.
Should you choose not to continue after your initial visit, no further charges will apply.
Enjoy elegant simplicity for the whole family: additional household members receive a 20% discount — $120/month for the second member, and $90/month for each thereafter.
I already have insurance. Why should I join Deserving of Joy?
Insurance pays for visits — not relationships. At Deserving of Joy, you’re never just a number. Our Direct Primary Care model restores the personal connection between doctor and patient, offering you direct access to Dr. Mount by text, email, virtual, or in-person visits. It’s care built on trust, time, and true partnership — something insurance simply can’t provide.
Is this more expensive than insurance?
No. And here’s why.
Traditional insurance often costs $400–$800 per month, plus high deductibles and unpredictable bills.
At Deserving of Joy, our pricing is transparent and consistent — no surprise charges. You'll also benefit from reduced rates on common medications and imaging, curated to bring you greater value and peace of mind.
Can I use my HSA to pay for Deserving of Joy?
Yes! Beginning in January 2026, updated federal regulations officially recognize direct primary care as a qualified medical expense. This means you can use your Health Savings Account (HSA) to pay for your Deserving of Joy membership, offering a tax-advantaged way to invest in personalized, relationship-based care.
This change reflects a growing acknowledgment of the value that comprehensive, preventative care provides — and allows you to prioritize your health while making the most of your financial resources. As always, we recommend consulting your tax advisor for guidance specific to your situation.
Do I still need insurance?
Yes — and here’s how it works.
Deserving of Joy is not insurance, but rather comprehensive, relationship-based primary care. You'll still need insurance for specialists, prescriptions, and emergencies. Many of our patients choose a high-deductible or catastrophic plan to pair with their membership for added peace of mind.
How many times can I be seen in a month?
There is no limit to how many visits you can have each month. Because we keep our patient panel small, we can provide fast quality care when you need it, usually within 1-2 days! You can also reach out to Dr. Mount directly via texting, email and phone calls, reducing your need to be in the office for small issues.
Is a Telehealth-Only Option Available?
Yes! Deserving of Joy proudly offers a Telehealth-only membership for patients seeking flexibility and convenience. Through secure, HIPAA-compliant video visits, email, and text messaging, you can connect directly with Dr. Mount without the need for frequent in-office appointments. This option is ideal for frequent travelers, college students, or anyone who prefers expert care from the comfort of their own space.
Please note that while many concerns can be effectively addressed virtually, certain services — such as procedures or hands-on evaluations — may still require in-person care. Additionally, in accordance with Indiana state law, controlled substances cannot be prescribed to Telehealth-only patients. Dr. Mount will always guide you appropriately if an in-person visit is necessary to ensure your safety and the highest standard of care.
Is Dr. Mount available 24/7?
Not quite — even doctors need sleep to keep their superpowers! Routine requests, like refills or paperwork, and non-urgent questions are handled during office hours. For urgent concerns, Dr. Mount is just a text or call away until 9 p.m. After that, if it can’t wait, the emergency room is your best bet.
Because great care requires rest — on both sides of the stethoscope.
